Wichita Lineman

Is this a good song, or what? I really DO love this song. The above photo of Glen Campbell was taken well after the success of the amazing song, obviously; there is no disrespect intended since I know a lot of best laid plans...

I miss songs that have real evidence of talent. It seems to me (and maybe I am just getting old) that a lot of musicians these days are not cool with poetics. How sad. :(

I have always loved this song. I understand the need for poetics...alas...I guess I find poetry everywhere:>). I remember seeing this photo when
G.C. was arrested...for a DWI I think. I thought it was sad and I appreciate you remembering the good times. As an adult child of an alcoholic father, I know the price these often gifted persons and the persons who love them pay.

Thanks for commenting Linda. I think that the raw talents of the world have it a little harder than the rest. And yet they produce so much of what is inspiration for the rest of us!

Hi Linda,
I have still got to figure out how to format some of these. I have done this a couple of times: published a post only to see how it looks, and then wring my hands and save it back to draft.

I can definitely relate to that! Fortunately Rhi helps me with the technical end of this endeavor...She is a second year music student. Check out her blog newly begun blog...inspired from all she has learned helping with mine....Peanut Butter Bound
